Family name Staubli

Conducting a DNA test with iGENEA provided me with detailed information on my family history. The test revealed that the surname Staubli has deep Swiss origins and a rich history, tracing back to ancient times. It gave me a chance to connect with distant relatives and a renewed sense of identity.

My experience with iGENEA DNA testing has been both fascinating and educational. It deepened my understanding of my family background, specifically on the surname Staubli, underscoring the complexities of genetic history. iGENEA uses the latest genetic testing technology that is scientifically accurate and reliable.

iGENEA employs autosomal DNA (atDNA), Y-chromosome DNA (Y-DNA), and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) testing to derive detailed genetic data. I discovered that each form of DNA testing offers unique information about my family history. The autosomal test provides insight into both maternal and paternal lines, while Y-DNA and mtDNA testing focuses purely on paternal and maternal lines, respectively.

The accuracy of the DNA testing lies not only in technology but also in the vast databases against which my results were compared. The larger the database, the more meaningful the results are. In this case, iGENEA's extensive database provided a wealth of possible DNA matches, enhancing the accuracy of my results.

Upon receiving my DNA test results, I made intriguing discoveries about the Staubli surname. It revealed this surname has deep Swiss origins, specifically tied to the regions of Lucerne and Zug. More interestingly, the surname Staubli appeared tied to a heraldic history, suggesting familial ties to nobility.

Additionally, the Y-DNA results presented a clear picture of my paternal lineage. It noted that my paternal line belongs to Haplogroup R1b, the most common in Western Europe, and more specifically to R-M269, widely distributed in Western Europe.

This research's accuracy was solidified by the mtDNA results, which shed light on my maternal lineage, tracing back to ancient times. To my amazement, the mtDNA results linked my maternal line to Haplogroup H, common among the indigenous people of the Iberian Peninsula.

An unexpected benefit of the DNA test was the opportunity to connect with distant relatives. iGENEA's Family Finder tool enabled me to discover relatives from around the world who share the Staubli name. This has been an exciting and surprising aspect of the experience.

The results gave me a renewed sense of identity. Knowing my lineage's geographical, historical, and cultural background deepened my connection to my origins and the Staubli name. IGENEA's DNA testing provided thorough, accurate, and fascinating insights that far exceeded my expectations.
